About This Role
We are looking for an experienced, safety-minded CDL driver with boom truck certification to join our team. This is a high-visibility role that puts you face-to-face with our contractor customers on job sites across the region. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of building materials including lumber, engineered wood, roofing, and other heavy goods. The right person takes pride in their work, treats customers with professionalism, and handles a boom truck with skill and confidence.
What You’ll Do
- Operate a boom/knuckle boom truck to deliver and unload building materials to residential and commercial job sites throughout the region
- Load and secure materials at the yard prior to delivery, verifying orders for accuracy and completeness
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT regulations
- Maintain a clean, organized truck and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Provide professional, courteous service to contractors and job site personnel
- Work closely with our dispatch and inside sales team to coordinate daily delivery schedules
- Follow all safety protocols for load handling, road operation, and job site access
- Assist with yard duties and materials handling as needed between deliveries
What We’re Looking For
Required
- Valid CDL Class B license (Class A a plus)
- Current boom/crane certification or demonstrated equivalent experience operating a boom truck
- Clean driving record and ability to pass DOT pre-employment drug screening
- Ability to safely lift and handle heavy building materials
- Strong spatial and mechanical awareness for precision boom placement on varied job sites
- Reliable, punctual, and self-directed with a strong work ethic
- Good communication skills and a professional, customer-friendly demeanor
Preferred
- Prior experience in the building materials, lumber, or construction industry
- Familiarity with common building products (lumber, LVL, roofing, decking, etc.)
- Experience operating a knuckle boom or Hiab-style crane
- Knowledge of Addison County and surrounding regions
Schedule & Compensation
- Monday through Friday
- Compensation of $35/hour based on experience

About This Role
The Millwork Sales Associate is a customer-facing role focused on selling windows, doors, and related millwork products to contractors, builders, remodelers, and homeowners. You will be the go-to expert for our millwork lines, helping customers select the right products for their projects, preparing accurate quotes, and managing orders from specification through delivery. This role combines technical product knowledge with consultative selling and strong relationship-building skills.
You will develop expertise across our millwork product portfolio, including:
- Windows: Andersen Windows & Doors (full product line including the 100 Series, 200 Series, 400 Series, A-Series, and E-Series) and Sierra Pacific Windows (wood, aluminum-clad, and vinyl lines)
- Exterior Doors: Entry, patio, and storm doors across multiple brands including Larson, Simpson, Rouge Valley, Therma-Tru, and ODL fiberglass from Brosco
- Interior Doors: Panel, flush, barn, and specialty interior doors
- Related Millwork: Trim, moulding, casing, and architectural details as they relate to window and door projects
What You’ll Do
Sales & Customer Engagement
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all millwork inquiries, working with customers at the counter, over the phone, and via email
- Consult with customers to understand project requirements, recommend appropriate products, and provide accurate pricing and lead-time information
- Prepare detailed quotes and proposals using vendor quoting tools and our ERP system
- Follow up on open quotes and actively manage the sales pipeline to close business
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, and repeat customers
Technical Knowledge & Product Expertise
- Develop deep knowledge of Andersen and Sierra Pacific window product lines, including sizing, configurations, glass options, and hardware
- Stay current on product updates, new releases, and promotional programs from key vendors
- Read and interpret architectural plans and specifications to accurately quote window and door packages
- Assist with takeoffs for window and door schedules on new construction and remodel projects
- Attend manufacturer training sessions and product demonstrations
Order Management & Coordination
- Enter and manage orders accurately ensuring specifications match customer requirements
- Coordinate delivery timelines with vendors, the warehouse team, and customers
- Track open orders and proactively communicate status updates or any changes to customers
- Handle warranty claims and resolve product issues in partnership with manufacturer representatives
What We’re Looking For
Required
- 2+ years of experience in building materials sales, construction supply, or a related field
- Strong customer service orientation and comfort working with both professional contractors and homeowners
- Ability to read and interpret basic architectural drawings and window/door schedules
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills for managing multiple quotes and orders simultaneously
- Proficiency with computers, including quoting software, email, and ERP/POS systems
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Valid driver’s license for travel to jobsite visits or customer meetings
Preferred
- Direct experience selling Andersen, Sierra Pacific, or comparable window and door product lines
- Existing relationships with contractors and builders in the Addison County/central Vermont area
- Experience with millwork takeoffs and project estimation
- Knowledge of building codes and energy-efficiency standards relevant to windows and doors (e.g., ENERGY STAR, Vermont energy code)

- Monday through Friday
- Salary ranging from $50,000 (with approximately 2 years of experience) up to and beyond $70,000 (with commensurate years of experience)

The Materials Handler is an essential member of our yard team, keeping our operations running smoothly and our customers and drivers moving efficiently. This is a physical, outdoor role that rewards reliability, attention to detail, and genuine pride in doing things right.
What You’ll Do
- Unload incoming deliveries from vendors and manufacturers, verifying quantities and condition against purchase orders
- Stock, organize, and maintain the lumber yard so that inventory is accessible, properly sorted, and easy to locate
- Stage and pull customer and contractor orders, preparing loads accurately and on schedule
- Assist drivers in loading delivery trucks, confirming loads are secured safely and correctly
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other yard equipment safely and responsibly
- Conduct regular inventory checks and flag discrepancies or damaged product to management
- Keep the yard clean, safe, and presentable for customers and contractors visiting the site
- Support the yard team across tasks as volume and priorities shift throughout the day
What We’re Looking For
- Able to work reliably outdoors year-round in Vermont weather conditions
- Physically capable of lifting and handling heavy materials (60+ lbs regularly)
- Forklift experience is a plus; willingness to get certified is required
- Familiarity with lumber, building materials, or construction is helpful but not required
- Dependable, punctual, and a team player who takes ownership of their work
- Strong attention to detail when pulling and verifying orders
- Valid driver’s license preferred

About This Role
Goodro Lumber is implementing a new gate system at our lumber yard to improve security, streamline customer and driver flow, and protect our inventory. The Gate Guard is the first and last face customers, contractors, and drivers see when visiting our yard. This role is as much about customer service as it is about access control. We are looking for someone who is personable, observant, and takes genuine pride in representing Goodro professionally.
What You’ll Do
- Greet all vehicles entering the yard, confirm purpose of visit, and direct them to the appropriate area (will-call pickup, delivery, customer service, etc.)
- Verify outgoing loads against invoices or pick tickets to ensure accuracy before vehicles exit
- Log all incoming and outgoing vehicle activity throughout the day
- Communicate with inside sales staff and the yard team via radio or phone to coordinate pickups and delivery traffic
- Identify and flag any discrepancies between outgoing loads and paperwork, escalating immediately when needed
- Manage yard entry flow during busy periods to keep traffic moving safely
- Enforce yard safety protocols, including hard hat and PPE requirements for customers and visitors
- Maintain a professional, welcoming presence that reflects Goodro’s reputation in the community
What We’re Looking For
- Customer-facing experience in retail, security, logistics, or a similar environment
- Strong communication skills; comfortable interacting with contractors, delivery drivers, and walk-in customers
- Comfortable working outdoors year-round in Vermont weather with a booth/shelter provided
- Basic computer or tablet skills for logging activity and pulling up invoices
- Calm and organized under pressure when vehicle volume is high
- Observant and detail-oriented with a willingness to ask questions when something looks off
- Knowledge of lumber or building materials is a plus but not required
